Workshops and teaching
2012- 2020 Teaching ESOL and Art with Sheffield Association for Voluntary Teaching of English, Sheffield City Council and Family Voice. Working with asylum seekers, refugees and speakers of other languages. Incorporating English and art techniques to encourage and stimulate language and conversation.
1994-2012 Delivering art workshops to community groups in Sheffield. Including Untitled Gallery (Now Site Gallery). Crucible Youth Theatre – “Falling Project”. Sheffield Museums and Galleries, schools and youth groups in South Yorkshire.

2006: Travelled to Somaliland to attend and speak at a conference about women in the environment and at work. To research and document women in Somaliland to illustrate an educational book ‘Travelling with the Bedouin women of Hawd’ and ‘The Asylum Seeker’ Funded by MAMA East African Women’s Project
